Darren Duthie, the perpetrator, had been in a relationship with the woman since 2020 before turning controlling and violent. Despite being imprisoned for domestic abuse in March 2024, Duthie continued to harass the woman using illegal means, sending threatening messages from his cell. Even with a restraining order in place, Duthie persisted in trying to contact the woman through various means, including fake social media accounts and threatening messages. His relentless behavior culminated in a violent incident where he shouted outside the woman’s residence and later sent a disturbing message hinting at harm.
