French President Emmanuel Macron reportedly received a slap from his wife following the discovery of messages he sent to a well-known actress. The incident, captured in a widely circulated video last year, showed Brigitte Macron seemingly striking the president before departing on an official trip to Vietnam.
Initially dismissed as a minor marital disagreement, a new revelation in a book by Paris Match magazine’s political editor, Florian Tardif, suggests otherwise. Tardif claims in his book ‘A (Nearly) Perfect Couple’ that Brigitte Macron found a message to actress Golshifteh Farahani complimenting her beauty, sparking tensions that led to the public spat.
Tardif, who interviewed over 70 sources including the First Lady, stated that Macron had a platonic relationship with the actress for months, supported by the content of the messages. Despite this, Brigitte’s representatives have refuted the claims, asserting that she never checks her husband’s phone.
The denial came after Brigitte denied the allegations directly to the author, emphasizing her stance on privacy regarding her husband’s phone.
