Two individuals involved in a tragic explosion at a residence in Bristol have been identified as Ryan Kelly and his former partner Joanne Shaw, according to local sources.

Ryan, who had a previous conviction for being associated with a drug gang reminiscent of the TV series Breaking Bad, is reported to have arrived at his ex-partner’s home in Bristol with a grenade, resulting in a fatal incident that claimed both their lives.

Residents in the area shared accounts of the events, with one neighbor mentioning that Joanne had sought police assistance due to ongoing harassment from Ryan. Another neighbor recounted hearing disturbances prior to the explosion but did not investigate due to frequent disturbances in the neighborhood.

The incident, believed to involve a hand grenade, led to a significant police response. Witnesses described the chaotic scene, with efforts made to save the victims despite the potential danger of further explosions.

Neighbors expressed shock and disbelief at the tragic turn of events, describing the couple as a friendly family. Ryan Kelly’s past involvement in a drug operation linked to a senior figure battling cancer was also highlighted, with details of his criminal history and previous conviction coming to light.

The drug scheme, likened to the plot of Breaking Bad, was disrupted before it could fully materialize, leading to the arrest and imprisonment of multiple individuals involved in the operation.
