A British man who went missing was discovered deceased on a beach in Costa del Sol after disappearing while at sea. The 25-year-old had sparked a large search involving police, coastguards, and Red Cross officials, culminating in the tragic finding on a Saturday morning, nearly three days after his disappearance.
The incident began when a foreign individual was observed entering the ocean at Misericordia Beach in Malaga late one Wednesday evening. Subsequently, a man’s body was found on the sand at Huelin Beach, with authorities later confirming his identity as a British citizen. The cause of death, whether due to drowning or other factors, remains under investigation, pending the results of an autopsy.
Law enforcement sources have ruled out foul play in the man’s demise, stating that there is no indication of criminal activity surrounding the case. Emergency responders were swiftly alerted to the discovery of the body on Huelin beach, prompting a coordinated effort involving medical services, Local Police, Red Cross, Guardia Civil, and National Police in the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased’s residency status in the area, whether local or visiting, is still unknown. Huelin Beach, situated west of Malaga city center, is a popular spot for sports activities and family leisure, offering beachfront amenities such as bars and restaurants serving traditional local cuisine.
