A man, Christopher Trybus, who was acquitted of charges related to alleged coercive control over his late wife, has refuted claims of violence, asserting his love for her. The prosecution had accused Trybus of subjecting Tarryn Baird to coercion and sexual violence, leading to her tragic death in 2017. However, Trybus, from Swindon, Wilts, denied the allegations in court, stating that he was not present on the days of the alleged incidents. He was ultimately cleared of all charges, including manslaughter and rape.
In an interview, Trybus expressed deep sorrow over the situation, emphasizing his innocence and love for Tarryn. Despite the prosecution presenting photos of bruises and injuries on Tarryn’s body, Trybus maintained his stance that he never harmed her. He described the grief of losing Tarryn as a persistent void in his life and expressed a desire to preserve her memory positively.
Tarryn had reportedly made multiple reports of domestic abuse before her death, including allegations of physical violence by Trybus. However, Trybus claimed ignorance of these accusations, emphasizing his lack of awareness of Tarryn’s actions. Following Tarryn’s passing, Trybus remarried and reflected on the ordeal, expressing concern over his tarnished reputation and the financial burden of legal fees. Despite the challenges, he prioritizes his freedom and hopes to move forward from the traumatic experience.
