Observers were surprised to witness the Queen strolling casually through an airport terminal upon her return to Britain, flanked by her security personnel.
Queen Camilla was spotted at Washington Dulles International Airport on Thursday, still clad in the blue outfit she wore earlier to bid farewell to the President and First Lady of the United States, as she made her way back home.

Queen Camilla’s departure from the US was more low-key compared to the King’s exit, as King Charles arrived at Maryland’s Joint Base Andrews military base via Donald Trump’s helicopter, where he was greeted by an honor guard.
Chief of Protocol at the US Ambassador Monica Crowley and UK Ambassador Christian Turner bid farewell to King Charles before he boarded the plane to Bermuda, where he was honored with a full armed forces cordon, red carpet, and music by the US Airforce Band as he waved goodbye from the plane steps.
