A young boy, Mason Hogg, with a strong passion for Lego, had his wish fulfilled by the Mirror newspaper, sending him and his family to Legoland before his potential loss of eyesight. Mason, a 5-year-old from Gloucester, was diagnosed with multiple meningiomas, rare tumors located near his eyes, head, skull, and neck. His condition posed unique challenges as he was the first child worldwide to have these specific tumors, making treatment decisions critical to prevent complete vision loss.

In a heartwarming initiative, Mason’s mother, Sarah Mckeown, launched a campaign to grant him a memorable Legoland experience before his sight deteriorated. With the support of the Mirror, Legoland, and GoFundMe, Mason’s dream became a reality. During their stay at Legoland’s Castle Hotel, Mason, accompanied by his family, including his mom, aunt, cousin, and brothers, immersed himself in the adventurous world of Legoland.

Despite never having been on a rollercoaster before, Mason bravely conquered the iconic Dragon ride, instantly falling in love with the thrill. The family also enjoyed attractions like The Haunted House Monster Party, creating unforgettable memories. Mason’s positive spirit and curiosity have shone through, despite his health challenges, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

The family’s journey at Legoland was filled with joy and excitement, highlighting the importance of creating lasting memories during difficult times. Mason’s unwavering happiness and resilience have touched the hearts of many, with the community rallying behind him to support his journey. As they navigate through uncertain times, Mason’s family remains hopeful for his recovery and cherish the moments spent exploring Legoland’s wonders.
