A British travel influencer disappeared after a night out in Morocco, where she was last seen leaving a nightclub in a known drink spiking area. Rachel Kerr, aged 31, has been missing since leaving SMART Nightclub in Agadir at approximately 5 am last Saturday. Her phone has been off since then, and her family has not had any contact with her.
Before she went missing, Rachel, a content creator from Dunblane, had checked out of her hotel, the Carribbean Village, due to financial constraints. Concerned about her well-being, her cousin Claire Hill urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.
Scottish authorities have been notified, and her relatives are traveling to Agadir to aid in the search efforts. A friend, Alexis Shaw, revealed that Rachel had extended her stay in Agadir due to personal struggles. She ran out of money, left the hotel, and went to the SMART nightclub at the Hotel Agador nearby.
Reports from tourists who have visited the nightclub mentioned its reputation for drink spiking and advised against young people going there. Rachel, who frequently shared travel videos and offered guided tours, was active on social media until her disappearance.
The last post on her Instagram account was two weeks ago, showing a video of Agadir and promoting a city tour for October. The Foreign Office confirmed that they are assisting Rachel’s family in locating the missing British woman in Morocco.
