In the aftermath of a state dinner at the White House with King Charles and Queen Camilla, President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran. Despite the jovial atmosphere during the dinner, where King Charles playfully teased the president about White House renovations and the Boston tea party, Trump took to Truth Social the next day to share a provocative image of himself holding a gun with a backdrop of destruction, accompanied by the words “No More Mr Nice Guy.” In the post, Trump criticized Iran for their inability to finalize a nonnuclear deal, urging them to act swiftly.

While Trump emphasized at the state dinner that King Charles supports the stance against Iran possessing nuclear weapons, Buckingham Palace clarified that the King remains neutral and upholds the government’s position on nuclear proliferation prevention. The royal couple’s US state visit continues as they head to New York to commemorate the 9/11 memorial.

During the state dinner, Trump reiterated his belief that King Charles is aligned with him on the Iran nuclear issue, prompting a response from Buckingham Palace affirming the King’s adherence to the government’s longstanding anti-nuclear proliferation position.

King Charles delivered a lighthearted speech at the White House, drawing laughter from guests with jokes about White House reconstruction and historical events. His humor included references to British involvement in the White House’s past, as well as a playful remark about language differences between Europe and the US.

Trump’s provocative social media post targeting Iran followed the state dinner with the royal couple, where he also highlighted the US stance on preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. The president’s firm stance on this matter was reiterated during the dinner event, emphasizing the importance of continued efforts in the Middle East.
