Despite losing a significant amount of blood and undergoing extensive surgery to survive, Twells, 67, was convicted of attempted murder but passed away due to bladder cancer before being sentenced, leaving Lynn feeling deeply unsettled and unsatisfied with the lack of closure.

Expressing her sense of betrayal and frustration, Lynn, a resident of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, revealed her ongoing emotional turmoil following the traumatic incident. Recounting the harrowing encounter where Twells relentlessly pursued her with a knife, she described moments of sheer terror as she fought for her life, sustaining severe injuries in the process.

Despite Twells’ threats and aggressive behavior, Lynn’s daughter, Kayleigh, played a pivotal role in saving her mother’s life by intervening during the attack and seeking immediate medical assistance. Lynn’s recovery journey included emergency surgery and ongoing medical care to address the physical and psychological impact of the assault.

Reflecting on the near-death experience, Lynn emphasized the crucial role her daughter played in her survival and expressed gratitude for her support during the ordeal. The incident left Lynn with lasting physical scars and emotional trauma, underscoring the enduring effects of domestic violence on survivors like her.

As she continues to heal and cope with the aftermath of the attack, Lynn’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience and courage displayed by victims of domestic violence in their pursuit of justice and healing.
