Prince Harry made an unexpected visit to Ukraine, urging Russian President Vladimir Putin to halt the ongoing conflict. The Duke of Sussex arrived at Kyiv railway station after traveling from Poland by train, warmly interacting with locals.

Addressing the Kyiv Security Forum, Prince Harry directly appealed to Putin, emphasizing the urgent need to end the war to prevent further suffering for both Ukrainians and Russians. He also highlighted the importance of American leadership in upholding international treaty obligations without specifically mentioning former President Donald Trump.

During his speech, Harry emphasized that the conflict in Ukraine goes beyond territorial disputes, emphasizing values, sovereignty, and the principles of democracy. This visit marked his third trip to Ukraine since the conflict began in 2022 and followed his recent tour of Australia with the Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry clarified that his visit aimed to raise awareness about Ukraine’s situation and support those working tirelessly in challenging conditions. The royal family has consistently shown support for Ukraine, with Harry being the highest-ranking royal to visit the country, following visits by other members like Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and Princess Anne.

Prince Harry’s visit coincided with his father’s impending state visit to the United States, where he is set to meet with President Donald Trump. The Duke expressed his commitment to standing with Ukraine and ensuring that the world does not overlook the gravity of the situation in the country.
