Anthony Joshua has returned to England following a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two individuals. The renowned British heavyweight boxer arrived at London Stansted Airport on Friday evening and was subsequently taken to his residence to continue his recovery, according to reports from The Sun.

A mosque in London is scheduled to host the funeral service for Joshua’s friends, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, tomorrow, where family and friends have been invited to a special ‘janaza prayer service’ in their honor.

There is uncertainty surrounding Joshua’s attendance at the funeral, as concerns have been raised about the potential media attention his presence may attract.

Reports suggest that Joshua narrowly escaped the fatal crash by changing seats just moments before the journey that tragically claimed the lives of his friends. While the boxer sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized, his friends were not as fortunate.

The driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. His legal representative stated that the incident was an accident and claimed that the brakes malfunctioned. Kayode, who has pleaded not guilty, was reportedly discharged from the hospital and taken to Abeokuta for further proceedings.

Joshua paid his respects to Ghami and Ayodele at a funeral home after being released from the hospital in Lagos. The bodies of the deceased were later transported back to the United Kingdom.

The case against Kayode has been adjourned for trial, scheduled for January 20, as investigations into the circumstances of the crash continue.
