A massive £9.5 million jackpot is on the line in tonight’s National Lottery Lotto draw, with an additional top prize of £500,000 available in the Thunderball draw.
Scheduled for 8 pm, the Lotto draw will consist of two rounds, providing players with two opportunities to win. Each round will involve selecting six numbers from a range of one to 59.
In addition to the main numbers, a Bonus Ball will also be drawn. Matching all numbers is not necessary to win prizes. Players who match five out of the six numbers can win £1,000, with the prize increasing to £1 million if they also correctly guess the Bonus Ball number along with the five main numbers.
The Thunderball draw offers a top prize of £500,000, requiring players to match all five numbers and the Thunderball to win.
Starting from June 7, the National Lottery introduced a new format for its Lotto draws. Each week, there are now two separate draws, offering players better odds of winning. Participants will still purchase a £2 ticket and select six numbers from 59 balls, but the game now features a two-round structure with two sets of main numbers and a bonus ball drawn from separate machines.
Players can now win in either round one, round two, or both rounds with a single ticket.
In the recent Lotto draw on Wednesday, no player matched all six numbers. However, two players, one from each round, matched five numbers plus the Bonus Ball, each winning £1,000,000.
A total of 136 players matched five numbers, winning £1,000 each, while 7,424 players with four correct numbers received £50 each. Additionally, over 134,000 players matched three numbers, winning £10 each, and 1,109,486 players matched two numbers, winning £1 each.
The winning numbers from the last Lotto draw were 4, 13, 14, 17, 23, and 31 for the first round, with a Bonus Ball of 56. The second round’s winning numbers were 4, 40, 43, 51, 55, and 57, with a Bonus Ball of 34.
