In the enchanting snowy realm of the North Pole resides its traditional home, though the real-life Santas of Britain prefer a warmer setting adorned with sparkling lights. Recent research by Three reveals that the UK’s Chief Christmas Officers (CCOs) are typically 40-year-old females residing in Blackpool, known for its iconic tower and dazzling illuminations.
Leicester and Dudley also emerge as popular locations for CCOs, who, despite lacking helpful elves, exude abundant holiday spirit. While 35% of men rely on their partners for Christmas preparations, a staggering 77% of women take on the responsibility of ensuring a joyous and bright season.
The study shows that adults tackle up to 40 festive tasks leading up to the holiday, balancing activities from gift shopping and tree trimming to cooking and hosting gatherings. It comes as no surprise that 51% of Gen X and Boomers express willingness to pass on the hosting duties.
To honor these unsung Christmas heroes, Three has collaborated with TV personality Scarlett Moffatt to introduce the “Give a Little S’more” pop-up event on London’s Southbank on December 2 and 3, exclusively for Three+ app users. This cozy retreat offers Chief Christmas Officers a chance to relax by toasting marshmallows, crafting s’mores, enjoying hot chocolate, and treating themselves to a moment of respite amid the seasonal bustle.
Scarlett shared her excitement for Christmas preparations, emphasizing the rewarding feeling of seeing loved ones’ joy on the big day. She encourages those in need of a break from the holiday hustle to indulge in the pampering experience offered by Three.
A Three spokesperson highlighted the effort and dedication put into creating festive magic, underscoring the importance of appreciating and rewarding Chief Christmas Officers. Beyond the event, Three customers can access year-round perks through the Three+ reward app, such as discounted coffees at Caffè Nero, cinema tickets at Cineworld, and various foodie deals.
