Residents in the United Kingdom are experiencing service disruptions on X, as a widespread outage has led to thousands of reported incidents.

According to the downdetector platform, which tracks service interruptions, there have been 6,375 reported cases, particularly spiking around 9pm. The majority of users, 60%, are encountering issues with the app, while 36% are facing problems with the website, and only 4% are citing server connection problems.

Various individuals have taken to social media to express their frustration, with one person urging, “Hurry up, Twitter!” and another lamenting, “Twitter is down again!”

Presently, Downdetector indicates 138 reports of X service disruptions in the UK, following a peak of 10,425 earlier in the evening.

Although the UK has recorded the highest number of outage reports for X, several European countries have also seen complaints of service interruptions.

In France, around 925 users reported issues around 9pm, while Germany registered 1,159 cases at a similar time. There were minor spikes in countries like Spain, with no apparent impact on other continents.

An extensive X outage has generated 10,374 reports on Downdetector, with users frustrated by connectivity issues.

One user expressed, “Here we go again!” and another mentioned receiving an “Error code 524,” while a third individual stated, “Twitter is down. We’re doomed.”

However, reports of problems have been decreasing since 9pm.

A significant Cloudflare outage on November 18, affecting numerous websites including X, was attributed to a faulty “configuration change.”

Dane Knecht, Cloudflare’s chief technology officer, apologized for the impact of the outage, emphasizing the critical reliance of sites on Cloudflare’s availability.

Cloudflare clarified that the system crash stemmed from a routine configuration modification that cascaded into network degradation. The company asserted there was no evidence of a cyber attack, highlighting its extensive network spanning over 330 cities in 120 nations.

Last month, many X users faced difficulties accessing the platform, with the issue seemingly linked to Cloudflare problems.

Both Spotify and X were among the platforms affected by the November 18 outages.

Cloudflare acknowledged global network issues that day, stating, “Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers. Further detail will be provided as more information becomes available.”

An outage distribution map reveals a fairly even spread of reports across UK cities, with London experiencing the highest number of cases, followed by Birmingham and Manchester.

Multiple individuals are expressing frustration online, with one urging, “Hurry up, Twitter!” and another lamenting, “Twitter’s Down Again!”

Currently, there are 6,375 registered cases on Downdetector, indicating a sudden surge around 9pm.

It seems that the majority of users are encountering issues with the app, comprising 60%, whereas 36% are facing website problems, and only 4% are reporting server connection difficulties.
