Donald Trump has issued a deadline for Hamas to agree to a deal to put an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The US president emphasized that if the proposed agreement is not reached, severe consequences will follow for Hamas. Trump stated in a post on Truth Social that a deal must be finalized with Hamas by Sunday evening at 6:00 PM Washington, D.C. time. He also mentioned that all countries have endorsed the agreement. Failure to reach this “last chance” deal will result in unprecedented consequences against Hamas, leading to peace in the Middle East through alternative means.

This ultimatum from Trump follows the release of his administration’s strategy to resolve the conflict, which involves establishing a transitional governing body called the “Board of Peace” in Gaza. Trump himself, along with other members including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, would oversee this transitional body.
