Donald Trump expressed his lack of concern over rising oil prices, attributing the willingness of people to pay more to concerns about Iran acquiring a nuclear weapon. In a phone interview with CNBC, the US President dismissed the potential collapse of peace talks with Iran, stating he was indifferent to their outcome and finding the negotiations tiresome.

Regarding the surge in oil prices following reports of Iran withdrawing from peace negotiations, Trump remained optimistic, asserting that prices would decrease swiftly once the situation was clarified as related to Iran’s nuclear ambitions. When asked about Iran’s reported decision to halt communications with the US and threats to block the Strait of Hormuz due to Israel’s actions in Lebanon, Trump mentioned his intention to seek information from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the situation.

Multiple Israeli news outlets reported that Trump and Netanyahu had a phone conversation on Monday, highlighting the ongoing developments in the region.
