A 15-year-old male, identified as Mohanad Abdullaahi Goobe, was fatally stabbed in Manchester, being referred to as the youngest member of his family. The incident occurred on Moss Lane East and Monton Street in Moss Side around 4:30 pm on Monday. Greater Manchester Police are probing the stabbing and have initiated a murder inquiry.
In a statement, Mohanad’s family expressed, “Mohanad, our 15-year-old son and younger brother to his siblings, was the baby of our family. Known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and talent for bringing laughter, Mohanad was cherished by many. His sudden passing has left us devastated, especially considering that his daily departure for school would be the last time we’d see his radiant face.”
Describing Mohanad as a loyal friend and a jovial presence, the family emphasized their desire for him to be remembered for the love he shared, rather than as a victim of senseless violence. They urge others to honor Mohanad’s memory with kindness and affection.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody for interrogation, according to Greater Manchester Police.
