Three family members tragically lost their lives in a horrifying and bloody incident at a home in southwest Sydney. Emergency services responded to a violent episode at a residence on Juliet Close in Rosemeadow around 1.30am on Sunday.
Upon arrival, the police discovered a couple in their 60s and two of their sons who had been assaulted at the location. Superintendent Grant Healey of Campbelltown Commander described the scene as very bloody, noting the severe injuries sustained by the victims.
One of the deceased individuals was found in a granny flat at the back of the property, believed to be the couple’s 25-year-old son. Another son, aged 30, managed to contact emergency services after being attacked and was treated at Liverpool Hospital before being discharged.
Approximately an hour after the initial emergency call, a 32-year-old man was apprehended by the police. Superintendent Healey mentioned that it was too early to determine charges and emphasized the unexpected and tragic nature of the incident.
Investigations revealed that multiple weapons, including a bladed object and a potential hammer, were used in the assault. Neighbors described the family as quiet and private, expressing shock at the disturbing events that unfolded.
One neighbor recalled hearing noises resembling a car chase before the arrival of emergency vehicles. The police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact Crime Stoppers.
