“Tragic Fall: Toddler Dies in South London Incident”

A tragic incident occurred in south London as a three-year-old boy passed away after a fall from a building in Sutton. Emergency services responded to the scene on Sunday afternoon following reports of the child falling from a height. Despite efforts to save him, the child succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The Metropolitan Police have initiated an investigation into the incident. A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and released on bail as inquiries progress. Witnesses stated that the toddler fell from a second-story window in a block of flats.

According to a spokesperson from the Met Police, the authorities were alerted at 17:18hrs on Sunday regarding the incident in Sutton. The child was swiftly taken to the hospital for treatment but tragically did not survive. The family has been informed of the heartbreaking loss.

The investigation into the death is ongoing, with the police continuing their inquiries. The woman arrested on suspicion of child neglect is expected to return for further questioning at a later date.
