Tragic Drowning at London Park: Woman, Boy, 7, Die

A woman aged 34 and a seven-year-old boy have tragically passed away after encountering difficulties in the water at a park in west London. The incident occurred at Elthorne Park in Ealing, with police responding to the scene just before 4:30 pm on Saturday. Despite efforts from emergency crews, both individuals were pronounced dead at the location. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the deceased were a mother and her son, and the authorities are treating the incident as a non-suspicious, tragic accident.

Specialist officers are currently assisting the next of kin, who have been notified of the heartbreaking event. The family has requested privacy during this challenging time. The police expressed gratitude to the emergency responders and members of the public for their efforts in dealing with the distressing situation.

Authorities were alerted to the incident when reports emerged of two individuals struggling in the water. The woman and child were retrieved from the water, but unfortunately, despite immediate medical attention, they could not be saved. At this stage, the ages of the victims have not been disclosed.
