Three women’s bodies have been discovered in the waters at Brighton Beach following an extensive search by the coastguard.
Earlier today, a coastguard helicopter and several police vehicles were spotted at the beachfront, indicating search operations. Images from the scene depict rescue teams combing through the water and the popular beach area.
According to Sussex Police, authorities responded to reports of three women in distress in the sea off Brighton at approximately 5:45 am. Regrettably, the bodies of the women were recovered near Madeira Drive.
The police were alerted to the situation around the same time and continue to investigate the discovery of the deceased individuals.
The emergency response was initiated due to concerns for the welfare of the three women.

Chief Superintendent Adam Hays stated, “This is a tragic event, and active investigations are ongoing to identify the women and determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“While I understand the community’s concerns, I urge the public to avoid the area as emergency services continue their operations.
