A Tesla driver faced criticism for driving onto a beach in Cornwall and deciding to park there. The situation escalated when the driver, confronted by a local, responded rudely before getting the vehicle stuck in the sand at Tregirls beach in Padstow. Onlookers, including both locals and tourists enjoying the sunny weather during a heatwave, witnessed the unfolding chaos.
The white Tesla, displaying a parking permit from the upscale Barnes area in southwest London, was spotted being driven directly onto the beach, where it remained for about four hours before attempts to move it commenced.
A beachgoer from Truro, Cornwall, recounted confronting the male driver, informing him of the parking violation, only to receive a disrespectful reply. The driver, according to the witness, also engaged in a heated exchange with an elderly lady who requested the car to be removed from the beach. Expressing frustration, the witness emphasized the inconvenience caused to local residents who have more pressing matters to attend to.
As evening approached, the driver was still struggling to free the vehicle with the help of a presumed local farmer. The route taken by the driver to access the beach is crucial for emergency services during life-saving scenarios, as demonstrated just a day earlier when emergency services were called to Tregirls Beach in response to a man in cardiac arrest after entering the water to rescue family members. Despite efforts to save him, the man in his 60s, a local resident, tragically passed away at the scene, with his relatives notified of the heartbreaking news.
