The tallest man in the world recently shared the heart-wrenching reason behind his divorce, expressing deep sadness over the situation. Sultan Kosen, aged 43 and towering at 8ft 3inches, parted ways with his ex-wife, Merve Dibo, who stood at 5ft 6ins.

Having held the Guinness World Record for nearly two decades, Sultan tied the knot with Merve, a Syrian woman, in 2013. Describing his profound love for her and his desire to build a family, Sultan reflected on their grand wedding ceremony that attracted 1,500 guests, reminiscing how he knew it was love when he looked into her eyes.

Despite initial rumors suggesting trouble in paradise, Sultan and Merve publicly dismissed any speculation about their relationship. However, the couple eventually went through a divorce, with Sultan revealing that his wife chose to prioritize her family over their marriage, leading to their separation.

In a recent Channel 4 documentary, Sultan candidly discussed the emotional toll of the divorce, expressing deep regret and sorrow when reminiscing about their wedding day. He acknowledged the challenges posed by his health conditions, including gigantism and acromegaly, which have necessitated the use of mobility aids and multiple surgeries to manage his symptoms.

While Sultan remains hopeful about finding new love, he acknowledges the uncertainties ahead. Despite his physical challenges, he longs for greater mobility and the opportunity to engage in activities that bring him joy. Reflecting on his brother’s observations and his own self-deprecating humor, Sultan remains optimistic about the possibility of finding happiness in the future.
