Some Sky customers are facing an annoying glitch with the ITVX app. The issue, which started recently, causes programs to skip to the end randomly, interrupting the viewing experience. Users have reported instances where they are watching a show only to be abruptly taken to the credits without any input from their remote control.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the problem, stating that ITV Player keeps skipping ahead to the end of episodes, making it challenging to watch. Another user named Dawn also shared similar experiences of programs jumping to the end unexpectedly, usually at the beginning or after an ad break.
The technical hiccups seem to be affecting users with Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q users are experiencing the same issue, most complaints are from individuals using broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.
Sky employee Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that they are working on a solution in collaboration with ITV. Kev mentioned that the problem has been escalated to support teams, and updates will be provided once more information is available.
For now, users may have to tolerate the skipping problems until a resolution is implemented. Mirror Online will provide updates on the situation as soon as new information emerges.
