Travelers planning trips abroad have been alerted with a red weather warning. Ibiza airport has been impacted, experiencing water flowing through the premises and into baggage security zones.

Various tourist hotspots, including the renowned party island, have been affected by the new alerts, cautioning about potential travel disruptions due to heavy rainfall.

Drivers are encountering challenges navigating through flooded areas as a result of the inclement weather conditions.

Video footage has captured the severity of the heavy rain, affecting operations at Ibiza Airport where water is seen seeping through the ceiling.

Intense rainfall is currently affecting Ibiza and Formentera, prompting an official warning highlighting the risk of flooding and sudden increases in water levels due to over 180 mm of rainfall within twelve hours. The alert remains in effect until 16:00 h.
