Passengers onboard a Ryanair flight from Vitoria to Palma in Mallorca were left shocked and injured when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence mid-flight to Spain. The incident, which occurred this morning, affected 180 passengers, resulting in injuries to two flight attendants. One of the attendants was thrown up and hit the ceiling, while the other was struck by a catering trolley in the aisle.

Upon landing at Son Sant Joan airport in Mallorca, emergency services swiftly responded to assist the injured crew members and passengers. A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed the turbulence incident on flight FR4615, stating that the captain had requested medical help for the injured cabin crew, and the aircraft landed safely.

The turbulence incident was exacerbated by adverse weather conditions, including heavy rains and storms in Mallorca, leading to flight delays. The turbulence caused the aircraft to shake, resulting in injuries to the crew members. The severity of the injuries sustained by the crew remains unclear at this time.

This incident follows a previous turbulence incident earlier this year when a Ryanair flight from Berlin to Milan encountered severe weather, leading to injuries among passengers and crew. The aircraft diverted to Memmingen for an emergency landing, with the airline arranging alternative transport to ensure passengers reached their final destination promptly. Ryanair expressed apologies to affected passengers for the disruption caused.
