“Royal Garden Party: King Praised for Congress Address, Fun with Vegas the Hearing Dog”

At the initial garden party of the season at Buckingham Palace, the King received praise for his address to Congress while he and Queen Camilla recognized emergency responders. Despite overcast skies, the 8,000 guests, adorned in vibrant attire including national dress, savored tea, cakes, and sandwiches. Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also present at the royal London residence.

Upon arrival, the royals greeted invitees, inquired about their endeavors, interacted with service canines, and directed guests to the tea area. The King was lauded for his recent speech during his US state visit, with a guest expressing admiration and prompting a jovial response from Charles.

During the event, Vegas, a two-year-old Hearing Dog for the Deaf, stole the spotlight by leaping at three senior royals, eliciting laughter from attendees. Despite the antics, Princess Anne found the dog’s antics amusing and promised not to inform her brother. Vegas particularly caught the attention of the King and Princess Royal, displaying affectionate behavior towards them.

As Vegas playfully interacted with the royals, engaging in some lawn digging, the atmosphere remained light-hearted. The King and Princess Royal shared playful banter with Vegas’s owner, Kate Wilson, showcasing their amiable demeanor towards the furry guest. Princess Anne even joked about Vegas’s digging, adding to the festive atmosphere of the gathering.

The garden party witnessed a delightful mingling of the Royal Family with guests, with notable interactions involving Vegas the dog and the royals. Princess Anne, King Charles, and other members engaged warmly with attendees, creating a convivial ambiance at the event.
