A call for action has been made by protesters urging the King to ensure the honor of the monarchy by persuading Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify in the US. The plea was made during a vigil organized by the US feminist organization Women’s March at the Washington Monument to commemorate the anniversary of Virginia Giuffre’s passing. Attendees included activists and members of Giuffre’s family, with the event taking place just before Charles and Queen Camilla’s upcoming state visit to the US to meet President Donald Trump.

Protesters expressed disappointment over the Royals’ failure to engage with Epstein survivors, casting a shadow over their visit. Despite this, the Queen is scheduled to meet other survivors of sexual abuse during the trip.

Women’s March Executive Director, Rachel O’Leary Carmona, emphasized the importance of Andrew cooperating with investigations to uphold the monarchy’s honor. She stressed that Andrew must not receive preferential treatment and should face legal consequences in both the US and UK.

Survivors of Epstein’s crimes, including Anouska de Georgiou and Sky Roberts, also emphasized the need for the King and Queen to acknowledge the pain and struggles of the victims. Giuffre, who tragically took her own life, had accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault.

The King took decisive action to strip Andrew of his royal titles following allegations of his ties to Epstein. The monarchy has pledged to support police inquiries into Andrew’s conduct, demonstrating a commitment to upholding justice.

Amidst calls to cancel the visit due to political tensions, the King and Queen are set to engage in diplomatic meetings and events during their US visit. The royal couple will focus on fostering unity and commemorating significant events, including the 9/11 terror attacks.

In response to criticisms about not meeting survivors, Buckingham Palace highlighted the potential risks of such interactions interfering with legal proceedings. The Palace emphasized the importance of upholding the law and protecting the interests of the survivors.

The royal visit is expected to include meetings with political leaders, speeches on international relations, and engagements to strengthen ties between nations. Despite challenges, the King and Queen remain committed to fulfilling their diplomatic duties during the visit.
