Renowned royal photographer Matt Porteous took the photograph, which depicts Louis happily leaning with folded arms on a boat against a picturesque sea backdrop. Unlike previous birthday portraits, this one was not taken by Princess Kate.
Until Louis turned five in 2023, the Duchess of Cambridge personally photographed her son’s birthday portraits, featuring alongside Louis in the pictures taken by photographer Millie Pilkington. For his sixth birthday, Kate once again showcased her photography skills, while photographer Josh Shinner took over for his seventh birthday the following year.
