Prince George, at the age of 12, recently visited a homeless charity in central London with his father, Prince William. This visit to The Passage marked a significant moment, as it was reminiscent of a visit made 32 years ago by Prince William and Princess Diana. During the visit, George assisted in preparing Christmas lunch for individuals experiencing homelessness and added his name to the visitor’s book, which also bears the signatures of his late grandmother and father from a visit in 1993.

George expressed fascination upon seeing the signatures, remarking, “Wow. OK.” The Passage’s chief executive, Mick Clarke, described the visit as a “proud dad moment” for William, who shared a heartfelt moment with his son by pointing out his mother’s signature, saying, “That’s my mum.”

During the visit, George actively participated in various tasks, showing enthusiasm and a willingness to help. He engaged in activities such as preparing food, creating care packages, decorating a Christmas tree, and assisting in making cupcakes for the charity’s event. Additionally, he met with volunteers and engaged in conversations about the importance of supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.

Prince William, who has been a longstanding supporter of The Passage, introduced George to a couple who had previously experienced homelessness and found support through the charity, highlighting the impact of the organization’s work. The visit aimed to educate George about the issue of homelessness and instill a sense of empathy and social responsibility in him.

The visit, which lasted around an hour, ended with George and William joining the rest of the royal family for Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. The Passage gifted the princes with teddy bears for the children and food hampers to be distributed to residential centers. This visit was a part of Prince William’s efforts to involve his children in charitable activities and educate them about important social issues, showcasing the royal family’s commitment to supporting organizations like The Passage.
