Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was spotted horseback riding this morning, shortly after images of him emerged from the recently disclosed Epstein files. The ex-Duke of York, aged 65, appeared cheerful as he rode a horse near his residence at Royal Lodge on Saturday morning before being seen driving his car.
The photographs of Andrew surfaced after the release of 13,000 files containing images, legal documents, and videos related to his former associate, the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Concerns regarding Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s connections to the convicted sex offender have intensified in recent months.
Various leaked correspondences, a posthumous account from Andrew’s accuser Virginia Giuffre, and a revealing biography by Andrew Lownie have all fueled public outrage over their association with Epstein. The new documents feature pictures of the tarnished royal at Balmoral and Ascot in the company of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, including one picture showing him surrounded by five women.
Following the scandal, King Charles stripped his dishonored younger brother of all royal titles and privileges, prompting the former couple to vacate their opulent long-standing residence at Royal Lodge. While both Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are depicted in the latest document disclosure, this does not constitute evidence of misconduct.
Andrew is among the few prominent figures accused of sexual assault by one of Epstein’s victims, an allegation he vehemently refutes. Nonetheless, Andrew Lownie believes that challenges lie ahead for the ex-prince. Lownie expressed his anticipation of more revelations, legal testimonies being unsealed, and additional victims coming forward, prolonging the saga. Therefore, he suggests that the Royal Family should distance themselves from such controversies.
