Police are seeking a potential seventh suspect in connection with a series of alleged sexual assaults against a woman by her ex-husband Philip Young and five other men. Wiltshire Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man linked to a serious sexual assault against Joanne Young.
Authorities have released images of the man, describing him as having a large build, scarring on the back of his head, prominent lips, and a hairy body. He is said to be balding with short or shaved hair and had a distinct tattoo on the left side of his chest at the time the pictures were taken.
Philip Young, who is facing multiple charges including rape, possession of indecent images, and voyeurism, appeared in court and was remanded in custody pending a high court trial. The victim, Ms. Young, has chosen to waive her right to anonymity.
Five other men also appeared in court facing charges related to the same victim. They have been identified as Norman Macksoni, Dean Hamilton, Conner Sanderson Doyle, Richard Wilkins, and Mohammed Hassan.
A seventh man is now being sought by police in connection with the alleged crimes. Detective Superintendent Geoff Smith commended Ms. Young’s courage and urged anyone with information to come forward to help identify the man in the released images.
The public is encouraged to share the images widely to assist in the identification process. Anyone with information can contact Wiltshire Police at 101, quoting reference number 54240080286, or provide anonymous tips through Crimestoppers at 0800 555111.
