Nigel Farage has affirmed his intention to detain and repatriate migrant women back to Afghanistan if he wins the election.
The leader of Reform UK outlined his stringent deportation strategy, targeting women who arrive in the UK via small boats as part of his mass deportation initiative. Farage mentioned that the handling of children would require a different approach due to the duty of care involved, but noted that very few children arrive via small boats, deeming it irrelevant.
In a recent statement at Reform’s annual conference in Birmingham, Farage emphasized that individuals crossing the English Channel would be detained and repatriated, regardless of gender. When asked if women could be sent to Afghanistan, he responded affirmatively, citing the urgent crisis in the country.
Last month, Farage revealed plans to deport approximately 600,000 asylum seekers within five years, estimated to cost £10 billion. Despite previous contradictory statements on deportations, Farage asserted his unwavering stance on the issue.
During a speech at London Oxford Airport, Farage reiterated his firm stance, stating, “Those entering the UK illegally will face detention, deportation, and permanent exclusion.”
