A renowned British musician is set to embark on a remarkable journey, running from Berlin back to London following the conclusion of his European tour. Jack Cullen plans to undertake an exceptional challenge by running the equivalent of 22 marathons in just 22 days, including ultra marathons exceeding the standard 26.2-mile distance each day. The total distance from Berlin to London spans over 700 miles. Once in London, Jack will immediately perform on stage in Hackney, concluding his tour in front of devoted fans, friends, and family. Jack will kick off his arduous fundraising run this Friday.

In an interview with the Mirror, Jack expressed his anticipation for the adventure, expecting a mix of pain, chaos, laughter, and frequent bakery stops along the way, particularly looking forward to indulging in a copious amount of doughnuts. Despite facing challenges during preparation, including an ankle ligament tear months before the event, Jack remains undeterred, embracing the unknown as part of the excitement and adventure. Accompanied by his best mate and sister as crew, Jack shared that his brother mapped the route back to London from his gig in Germany for the upcoming show on June 12th.

Motivated to disconnect from distractions, rediscover himself, and find inspiration for his music, Jack aims to combine his love for movement and music during this journey. Alongside the physical challenge, Jack is also fundraising for Mind charity. A 30-year-old artist hailing from Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, Jack is affiliated with the Sony RCA label and is currently performing at sold-out concerts. Following each day’s run, he will be lodging at campsites and small hotels to prepare for the next day’s running.

Formerly a professional rugby player, Jack transitioned to songwriting after a career-ending injury, garnering a following through live performances and endurance projects. In 2024, he released his debut EP ’12’ while completing a notable feat of running 12 marathons in 12 days to support cancer research, which significantly boosted his fan base and led to the success of his breakout single ‘All I Need.’

Building on his social media success, Jack undertook a 650-mile cycling journey from Edinburgh to Glastonbury Festival, engaging with various communities along the way and culminating in a memorable performance at the festival. With a background in rugby that includes representing Ireland at various age group levels, Jack’s athletic background has greatly influenced his artistic pursuits. Starting at a local club in Bishop’s Stortford, he later played for Saracens academy, Irish Exiles, and Munster.
