“Manhunt underway for gunman in deadly Turkey attacks”

Police are on the lookout for an alleged gunman who shot at a restaurant and attacked others while escaping. The incident took place in Turkey today, with the suspect firing from his car at a restaurant in Tarsus, located in the southern part of the country.

Local media reports indicate that at least five individuals were killed, and seven others sustained injuries during a series of attacks near the port city of Mersin. According to CNN Türk, the suspect used a rifle to kill his ex-wife before fleeing in his car. He then fired at the restaurant in Kadelli Neighborhood of Tarsus from his vehicle’s window.

After the restaurant shooting, the suspect fled in his vehicle. Reports from tabyadijital.com state that the suspect injured seven individuals as he escaped. Emergency services quickly responded, transporting the wounded to the hospital while security forces secured the crime scenes.

Tragically, it has been revealed that two of the deceased are the restaurant owner and an employee. Additionally, a shepherd and a lorry driver were also shot and killed. Police have initiated a large-scale manhunt, supported by helicopters, to locate and apprehend the gunman. Monitoring traffic on the highways and utilizing drones, law enforcement aims to capture the suspect swiftly.
