Adrian Daulby, the victim of the tragic Manchester synagogue attack, has been revealed in a photo for the first time. Neighbors of Mr. Daulby expressed their admiration for him, describing him as a well-liked individual with a positive reputation.
One of his friends mentioned that Mr. Daulby had mentioned the possibility of attending the synagogue on Yom Kippur but was unsure due to health reasons. Following the terror incident at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue in Crumpsall, the friend tried reaching out to Mr. Daulby with no success, which now adds to the sorrow of the situation.
Being a resident of Monica Avenue near the scene of the tragedy, Mr. Daulby had strong ties to the area, having lived there for many years. Hussain Waqas, a neighbor who grew up beside him, shared memories of their conversations and the shock felt by the community.
Mr. Daulby had a special bond with the synagogue and the Rabbi, showing a deep love for nature, animals, and birds. Additionally, he had a YouTube channel dedicated to birds. Despite his health struggles, including being a cancer survivor, he was known for his simplicity, humility, and friendly demeanor towards the neighborhood children.
Upon hearing of Mr. Daulby’s passing, friends and neighbors expressed their deep sorrow, highlighting his helpful and kind nature. Floral tributes have been left at his home, symbolizing the impact he had on those around him.
The Greater Manchester Police are providing support to the families of both Mr. Daulby and the other victim, Melvin Cravitz. Mr. Daulby was reportedly assisting in securing the synagogue during the attack and tragically suffered a fatal gunshot wound in the police response.
Detective Chief Superintendent Lewis Hughes extended condolences to the families of the victims, assuring them of ongoing support and updates throughout the investigation process, while respecting their cultural preferences and sensitivities.
