A man wielding knives caused a nursery in Coventry to be placed on lockdown. Police responded to the incident at the Park Edge Family Hub on Roseberry Avenue yesterday at 10:40 am, where they apprehended the man. The individual sustained serious injuries and was promptly taken to University Hospital Coventry. Fortunately, no one else was harmed, and the knives were confiscated.
Following treatment at the hospital, the man was released and is now in police custody for further questioning, according to West Midlands Police. The authorities were alerted to the situation involving a man with knives at around 10:40 am on Roseberry Avenue in Coventry. The suspect was swiftly arrested for possession of a bladed article without causing any injuries, with the weapons being recovered.
Emergency services, including West Midlands Ambulance Service, responded to the scene on Roseberry Avenue at 11:37 am to attend to the injured man before transporting him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for medical care.
A spokesperson for Bell Green Nursery emphasized that the individual did not enter the nursery or come into contact with any children, staff, or families. The nursery promptly implemented safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of all children. Parents were promptly informed and the situation was resolved within 40 minutes.
