A man was hospitalized after an incident involving a fall from a tower block in Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge. Police have apprehended another individual on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident.
Authorities responded to the block of flats following reports of a person falling from a height earlier today. An air ambulance was observed above the location, and a significant police cordon was established, restricting access to the flats, according to witnesses on social media.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 25-year-old man is currently receiving treatment in the hospital for severe injuries sustained from the fall. Additionally, a 37-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of assault. Local residents have been advised that a police cordon will be maintained while investigations are ongoing.
According to a comprehensive statement from West Yorkshire Police, a spokesperson stated, “At 10:06 this morning (November 27), officers were summoned to a block of flats on Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge, following reports of a person falling from a height.
