Man falls to death from cliff in Dorset; Incident reviewed by authorities

A tragic incident occurred as a man fell 100 feet from a cliff in Dorset. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at Fisherman’s Walk in Bournemouth following concerns raised about the man’s well-being. Despite attempts to engage with him, the man fell and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Witnesses, who were gathered at the beach during the heatwave, were reportedly shocked and distressed as they witnessed the man’s fall onto the beach. An eyewitness described the moment as terrifying and deeply sorrowful, having observed the man at the cliff’s edge just before the tragic event.

Authorities have stated that the man’s death is not considered suspicious; however, Dorset Police has self-referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. A spokesperson for Dorset Police mentioned that the man’s formal identification is pending, and the incident will be reviewed by the HM Coroner.
