Several food items are being recalled from leading supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Iceland following concerns over potential health hazards for consumers.
Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Iceland are issuing a recall for a popular food dish due to health risks identified in an urgent warning.
The Food Standards Agency has cautioned consumers against consuming Young’s Seafood Gastro 2 Lemon & Pepper Fish Fillets as they contain undeclared mustard, posing a potential allergic risk.
The decision to remove the product from shelves is a precautionary measure to prevent allergic reactions, as stated by the agency.
In an official statement, the Food Standards Agency stated, “The presence of mustard in this product could pose a health threat to individuals with mustard allergies.”
Young’s Seafood is conducting a voluntary recall of the affected product and is reaching out to allergy support organizations to inform their members about the recall.
The company has also sent out recall notices to its customers, detailing the reasons behind the product recall and providing guidance on what steps to take if they have purchased the product.
The FSA further advises, “If you have purchased the mentioned product, refrain from consuming it.
“Instead, return the product to the store of purchase for a full refund.”
