A man armed with a knife reportedly attacked three women on a crowded metro line, triggering a widespread search operation. The assailant carried out the assaults at Arts-et-Métiers, République, and Opéra stations along the Paris metro Line 3 during the late afternoon. The incidents occurred between 4:15 pm and 4:45 pm, as confirmed by a police source to Le Parisien. Line 3 connects Bagnolet in Seine-Saint-Denis with Levallois-Perret in Hauts-de-Seine.
Emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the locations to assist the three injured women, who sustained minor wounds to their back and thighs. One witness at the Republique station described the scene, mentioning a deep cut on one of the victims’ thighs, leading to significant bleeding.
Following the attacks, the suspect reportedly fled using Line 8 but was later apprehended at his residence in Sarcelles, located in Val-d’Oise, according to Le Parisien.
