Laura Woods appeared to faint during a live ITV broadcast while covering England’s friendly match against Ghana. Woods was presenting on ITV4 with Ian Wright and Anita Asante when she collapsed.

The incident occurred at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, with Woods falling forward and collapsing towards Wright and Asante. They tried to support her before she fell to the ground, prompting ITV to cut to commercials.

Although the cameras quickly cut away from the incident, the audio briefly captured Wright checking on Woods before the commercial break.

Katie Shanahan stepped in to continue the coverage, mentioning that TNT Champions League host Woods had fallen ill. Woods’ fiancé, Adam Collard, provided an update reassuring everyone that she was okay and in good hands.

ITV confirmed at half-time that Woods was “doing okay” and sent her their love. Fans expressed their well-wishes and concern for Woods’ health on social media.

Woods returned to presenting on TNT Sports earlier this year after being on maternity leave for 13 weeks. She welcomed her first child with Collard in January 2025.

Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering savings and more than 1,400 live matches across various leagues. Sky will broadcast at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase from the previous season.
