Iran has declared the closure of the Strait of Hormuz once again, citing Israeli attacks in Lebanon and the US’s failure to honor its commitments. The joint military command issued a statement on state TV warning of planned subsequent steps if the aggression continues. Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of at least 16 individuals, including two children, with seven people still trapped under rubble. A recent clash between Israel and Hezbollah led to casualties on both sides. Hezbollah accused Israel of violating the ceasefire multiple times and vowed to defend against Israeli attacks. The conflict in Lebanon has caused over 3,900 fatalities and left 11,600 injured since March 2, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Significant displacement and destruction of communities have been reported in the region.
