Iran has rejected talks it deems as meaningless and made threats of a ground invasion against the UAE and Bahrain, labeling them as mutual targets, in response to Donald Trump. Dubai may face heightened risk due to Iran’s demands for discussions with Trump. Tehran had vowed to keep the vital Strait of Hormuz closed while the US maintains a blockade. Recent peace talks between the US and Iran stalled, leading to Iran seizing two cargo ships. Iran’s state media, Fars News Agency, has outlined four key demands, including sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, nuclear enrichment issues, and a change in American behavior. Iran warned of mutual responses to any ground attacks and emphasized that negotiations are now viewed as futile due to these obstacles. Iran stated that it does not need negotiations to end confrontations, as long as the enemy understands the rules. The country specified potential responses to various scenarios, indicating that negotiation is unnecessary. Iran emphasized the importance of non-face-to-face solutions for compensation or asset release, stating that direct negotiations give the enemy undeserved time and credibility.
