A young child is in critical condition after suffering severe head injuries, allegedly caused by being violently shaken, as reported recently.
Authorities rushed to a residence in Two Rocks, a locality situated 38 miles north of Perth, Australia, last Thursday, following information provided by the Daily Mail. They discovered an 11-month-old infant in critical condition and promptly transported the child to the Children’s Hospital in Perth.
The infant remains hospitalized in Perth, with reports indicating that the child’s condition is still critical. Subsequently, a 25-year-old male resident of Two Rocks was apprehended and formally charged with aggravated grievous bodily harm, according to sources from news.com.au.
According to a spokesperson from the Western Australia Police, the arrested man and the injured infant are related. The man was granted bail on July 9 at Perth Magistrates Court, pending another court appearance scheduled for July 29, as per additional reports.
At present, the identity of the arrested individual has not been disclosed publicly.
