Ikea has rolled out a new discount offer for thousands of employees throughout the United Kingdom. Education and healthcare professionals are now eligible for a 6% discount at Ikea stores, thanks to a recent collaboration with savings platforms Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts.

Previously, members could save 4% when shopping on the Ikea website, but the enhanced offer now extends to in-store purchases as well. Customers simply need to log in to the respective app and scan their code at the checkout to avail of the discount.

Jen Haslam, Chief Revenue Officer at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, expressed pride in introducing this Ikea discount to their members. Recognizing the significant contributions of teachers and healthcare workers to society, she highlighted the importance of acknowledging their efforts through tangible benefits like this discount.

Nikos Koskinas, Retail Partnerships Manager at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, emphasized the appeal of Ikea to their members and praised the exclusivity of the saving both online and in brick-and-mortar stores. He underscored the partnership’s dedication to securing valuable deals that genuinely support education and healthcare professionals across the UK.

In a related development, Ikea recently introduced a new charge for click and collect services. As of September 2025, customers are required to pay a £2 fee for online orders picked up at Ikea branches. However, members of the Family loyalty program can continue to utilize this service at no additional cost.

Furthermore, Ikea patrons have the option to collect orders from specified Tesco car parks, DPD, or locker pick-up points, although charges apply for orders below a certain threshold. For Ikea Family members, click and collect from Tesco or self-serve lockers is complimentary for purchases of £100 or more, or £60 at DPD points. Click and collect fees vary between £2 and £5.

An Ikea spokesperson emphasized the company’s commitment to transparent pricing and investment in services to enhance delivery options and convenience for customers. To ensure financial sustainability of delivery and collection services, a £2 fee was introduced for non-IKEA Family members for Click and Collect services. Membership in IKEA Family, which is free, entitles members to free collection across all Click and Collect options, including in-store pickups and mobile pick-up points.
