A recent video has surfaced, potentially shedding light on the tragic accident in Bolton that resulted in the deaths of four individuals. The footage captures a driver reaching speeds exceeding 120mph, maneuvering through traffic lanes, and is now a crucial part of the police inquiry into the fatal collision on Wigan Road.

The video depicts a vehicle speeding along a crowded street, overtaking other vehicles and crossing into the opposite lane at high velocity. At one point, the speedometer registers a staggering 122mph. Allegedly filmed by an occupant of the Seat Leon involved in the crash, the clip shows the events leading up to the collision that claimed the lives of three teenagers and a 54-year-old taxi driver in a Citroen C4 Picasso.

Identified as Masrob Ali, the taxi driver tragically lost his life in the incident. The video, widely circulated on social media, indicates it was recorded around 3am on Saturday, just under 24 hours before the fatal crash at 12.50am on Sunday.

Greater Manchester Police are actively investigating the video as part of their comprehensive examination into the tragic event. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene on Wigan Road following the head-on collision between the red Seat and the Picasso, resulting in the deaths of the Seat’s driver and two passengers.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, Farhan Patel, and Mohammed Danyaal, all between the ages of 18 and 19, along with the taxi driver, Masrob Ali. Additionally, five injured passengers were transported to the hospital, with one of the Citroen’s occupants sustaining critical injuries.

Family members of Mr. Ali described him as a kind-hearted individual and a devoted father, emphasizing his safe driving record over the years. Detective Inspector Andrew Page from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit urged caution in sharing sensitive footage on social platforms, considering the impact on all affected families.

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities appealing for witnesses to come forward with any relevant information or footage. Interested parties can contact the police directly or provide anonymous tips through the charity Crimestoppers hotline.
