A woman residing with a large number of haunted dolls has disclosed that Christmas triggers unusual behavior from them, once sparking a “full-on prank war” in her home. Teej, a paranormal investigator and collector of haunted items based in the US, has spent the last five years gathering eerie artifacts and now cohabits with numerous haunted dolls. Among her extensive collection are 54 haunted dolls housed in their dedicated room in her residence.
She asserts that the dolls cause disruptions by flickering lights, rummaging through the fridge, and taking over her electronic devices to play their preferred songs on regular days. However, during the Christmas season, their activities escalate to a different level. Teej has reported encountering unexplained movements and decorations rearranged mysteriously overnight when the festive period arrives, leading to some of her cherished moments.
Recounting her experiences, Teej mentioned a specific incident during Christmas involving small stockings she hung on a shelving unit where the dolls were kept. What started as a festive gesture turned into a recurrent prank, with the stockings being pulled down each time she turned away. To resolve the situation, she challenged the spirits to keep their stocking up until Christmas without causing mischief, offering an extra gift to the compliant spirit. By Christmas Day, only two stockings remained hanging.
Another eerie incident occurred while Teej was filming a TikTok video. Just as she was about to conclude the recording, music suddenly blared from her Alexa downstairs, playing a song by Queen—Jeremiah, her haunted teddy bear’s favorite band. Despite these occurrences, Teej has established rules with the dolls to prevent excessive mischief, which she communicates when they enter her home.
Teej’s fascination with spirits dates back to a significant encounter at age six when she and her family used an Ovilus, a device believed to convert environmental energy into displayed words. Following a warning from the Ovilus to swiftly move out of the way, they narrowly avoided a car speeding around the corner, which left a lasting impression on Teej, shaping her positive outlook on spirit interactions.
Having initiated her collection five years ago, Teej has interacted with numerous haunted toys, delving into their histories online and attending exhibitions to meet them in person. Despite the peculiar behavior of her haunted possessions, Teej finds that the holiday season brings a unique sense of joy to her household.
