A widely-used winter product has been promptly recalled due to significant safety issues.

The GoodHome Saturnia Electric Blanket, distributed by B&Q, has a faulty electrical component that can potentially overheat, creating a fire hazard for the blanket and nearby furniture, as well as posing an electric shock risk to users. As per the recall notification, in the event of the controller overheating and melting, there is a possibility of exposed live parts that could result in an electric shock for the user. Due to the blanket’s non-compliance with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, it has been recalled from all consumers. Owners are advised to discontinue use immediately, disconnect the blanket, and return it to the nearest B&Q store for a full refund. Additional details can be found on B&Q’s recall page or by reaching out to B&Q Customer Services at 0300 303 4482.
